The challenge

The Wall Street recruiting game is rigged against you

Breaking into Investment Banking can feel impossible. You’re up against top candidates, acceptance rates are 1–3%, and most training just overwhelms you.
Stick figure holding up a pile of course modules, showing information overload

Problem #1

Information overload

Legacy training firms sell you on sheer volume, burying you in ‘comprehensive’ content, which is really just a bloated curriculum padded with arcane edge-cases. A few hours later, you're reaching for an Advil, you’re $500 in, and it’s too late.

Your brain is fried by the time you’re done, and you still can’t visually explain how the Three Statements Connect without frantically checking your notes.

Sundial and digital clock side by side, showing how static, outdated content lags behind real IB interviews

Problem #2

Static, outdated content

Most courses teach finance like it’s a 1995 textbook: flat, text-heavy slides narrated by a late-’90s-style audio voiceover.

You can’t ‘see’ how the three statements connect by reading bullet points. You can’t internalize accretion/dilution by staring at formulas.

Your brain needs to SEE concepts in motion, not memorize static definitions.

Stick figure on a cliff facing a knowledge gap between school and Wall Street banks

Problem #3

The information gap

Most competitor courses are built by instructors whose Finance experience ended after their IB Analyst years. They know the basic mechanical motions, but they never gained the seasoned professional’s perspective that shows you what truly matters and why.

What you receive is purely first-order training: a collection of facts and formulas that miss the point. You’re given tools but not the context for using them.

And this is exactly why this works

Legacy Wall Street training firms will teach you the formulas. We teach you how to THINK like a banker.
Most courses build around one company case. Our dynamic frameworks work for ANY company, tech, healthcare, industrials, doesn’t matter.
You’ll hold these mental maps in your head during interviews. You won’t fumble through memorized facts when the VP twists the question. You’ll think dynamically, answer confidently, and land the offer.

Founder & CEO

Hi, I'm Mike!

If you’re here, chances are you’re trying to break into high finance and build real skills that actually matter once you’re there. I know how hard that path can feel, because I’ve lived it.

I started my journey at a non-target school. I didn’t have a built-in network or a clear roadmap. I had to learn (often the hard way) what actually matters in interviews and on the desk.

Over time, I worked across investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, and mutual funds, and later began teaching as an MBA professor at Columbia. I've also spent years training professionals at leading finance firms.

What became clear to me was this: most finance training is outdated and focused on memorization, not real understanding.

I built Financeable to change that.

Financeable is the training I wish I had starting out. It’s designed to help motivated candidates prepare the right way, develop real judgment, and have an edge over anyone who uses 'traditional' Wall Street Training.

If you’re willing to put in the work, you can break into Wall Street...and Financeable is here to help you along the way.

Science-Backed Learning

You learn better when you see concepts in motion

Most finance courses teach you like it’s 1995 with static slides, audio voiceovers, and walls of text. Research shows that visuals and animations are far more effective when you’re dealing with holistic systems.

When you SEE debits and credits flying across the screen in our accounting course, your brain builds a mental map. The concept sticks.

When you WATCH the accretion scale tip from benefits to costs in real-time, you internalize how M&A deals work. You don’t just memorize, you understand.

This isn’t just ‘pretty animations’ for the sake of design. It’s empirically-backed learning that ensures you learn faster and retain more than with other programs. And when you’re sitting in that Goldman Sachs superday and the VP twists the question?

You don’t panic. You don’t freeze. You don’t fumble through memorized facts. You see the framework in your head. And you answer with confidence.

When you mentioned that there’s nothing out there like this, I thought you meant you just had a better understanding of accounting than others, but the Financeable platform is actually one of a kind. The mini quizzes and visuals are amazing and they’re a perfect way to learn.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Wall Street Prep or Breaking Into Wall Street?
Three major differences:

(1) Visual, animated learning. You see concepts in motion rather than staring at static slides from the 90s.

(2) Unrivaled Practitioner Experience. The only curriculum holistically crafted by an instructor with a background in IB, PE, and Hedge Funds, showing you exactly what matters and why.

(3) Dynamic Frameworks. You gain the ability to tackle any scenario through logic, rather than relying on memorized facts and corner-case rules.
I’m from a non-target school. Will this help me compete?
Absolutely. The vast majority of our prior students come from non-target schools and regularly beat out candidates from target schools (e.g., Wharton, Harvard, etc.) for roles at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Evercore and many others.

But this isn’t just for the underdog. It works for everyone.

This visual learning approach levels the playing field for everyone, replacing ‘pedigree’ with a deeper level of ability than you’ll gain with any other prep program.
Do I need any prior finance knowledge?
No. All of our courses are built with beginners in mind. The only assumption we make is that you can handle basic arithmetic, we take care of the rest.

We explain everything in Plain English without the jargon walls, creating a learning experience that students actually enjoy rather than dread.
Will this prepare me for both BB and boutique banks?
Yes. The frameworks work universally, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Lazard, Evercore, Houlihan Lokey, doesn’t matter.

The fundamentals are the same. The interview styles may vary slightly (some banks love paper LBOs, others focus on case studies), but the technical foundation is identical.
Do I get lifetime access?
With the $375 option, yes, lifetime access to all courses, any updates we make, and any new content we add to the bundle.

The $249/year option gives you 12 months of access with the ability to renew annually.
What's included in the Investment Banking: Interview Ready bundle?
Eight courses covering every technical area tested in IB interviews: IB Interview Prep: Start Here, Accounting Fundamentals, Valuation Fundamentals, M&A Fundamentals, LBO Fundamentals, Sell-Side M&A In Real Life, Accounting Deep Dive, and IB: Interview Fine Tuning.

Together they take you from the basics of three financial statements to the valuation, merger, and LBO questions that decide superdays.
What technical interview questions does the bundle prepare me for?
The questions that come up in almost every interview: ‘walk me through the three statements’, ‘walk me through a DCF’, ‘what's the difference between enterprise value and equity value?’, ‘is this deal accretive or dilutive?’, ‘walk me through an LBO’.

You learn the logic behind each answer so you can handle the follow-up or curveball the interviewer asks next.
In what order should I take the courses?
Start with Accounting Fundamentals, the foundation for everything else, and then work through: Valuation Fundamentals, M&A Fundamentals, LBO Fundamentals, Sell-Side M&A In Real Life, Accounting Deep Dive, and polish everything with IB: Interview Fine Tuning.
Are there practice exercises?
Yes. There are diagnostics as you go, so you can ensure that you're mastering the concepts.
When should I start prepping for IB technical interviews?
Now! Recruiting timelines get earlier every year, and the sooner you master the core technicals, the better off you'll be when interview season arrives.
How is this different from useful free resources like YouTube videos or interview guides?
Free resources give you answers to memorize. The bundle gives you a structured path and the reasoning behind each answer, so you can solve questions you've never seen before.
Is this for summer analyst or full-time recruiting?
Both! The material also works well for MBA candidates recruiting for associate roles.
Will this help with private equity recruiting?
Yes. The bundle is built for IB, but PE interviews test much of the same foundation: accounting, valuation, and LBOs.

PE processes go a step further with business mechanics and case studies. The technical fluency you build here is what those rounds are built on.
Who teaches the courses?
Mike Kimpel, the founder and CEO of Financeable, who has worked in investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund roles.

He has spent 15+ years teaching 10,000+ students exactly what they need to know to master these concepts.
Does the bundle cover how deals actually work, not just the technicals?
Yes. Sell-Side M&A In Real Life walks through how a sell-side process runs in practice, from marketing the company through bids and closing.

Interviewers often test whether you understand the deal process you'd be working on.
Will this prepare me for paper LBOs?
Yes. IB: Interview Fine Tuning breaks down the paper LBO end-to-end.

It starts with conceptualizing the question and what it's asking, and finishes by breaking down how to estimate IRR from a MOIC without a calculator.
I'm not a finance major. Can I still recruit for investment banking?
Yes. Banks hire analysts from economics, engineering, liberal arts, and many other majors.

What they expect is technical fluency, not a specific degree.
How is this different from the finance classes I take in school?
University courses teach theory for exams. This bundle teaches the specific concepts banks test in interviews, and the way practitioners actually think about them.

The focus is on explaining your reasoning out loud under pressure, not on solving textbook problems.
Will this help me once I'm actually on the job?
Yes. Accounting, valuation, M&A, and LBOs are core to the analyst role, and you need the foundations and mechanics of each to succeed on the job.

Sell-Side M&A In Real Life also covers how a live deal process runs, so you start your internship or full-time role knowing what the work in front of you is for.
